Anna Bolton is a professional singer, music director, workshop leader and singing teacher based in Lincolnshire.
Anna read English & Theatre Studies at Warwick, twice winning the prestigious University of Warwick Concerto Competition before undergoing further vocal training. She performs with vocal ensembles, pianists, chamber groups, opera companies and cathedral choirs at venues across the UK and abroad. Anna has also worked extensively for the Royal Shakespeare Company, singing in shows such as David Tennant's Richard II, which was broadcast live to cinemas worldwide, and on CD recordings.
Anna loves to encourage singing in the community and has taught singing for over fifteen years, currently as Singing Teacher for the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain and an Associate Lecturer at the University of Lincoln. This year, Anna studied to qualify as a Vocal Health First Aider, putting her in an even stronger position to look after singers and their voices. It also reinforced her belief in singing's power to improve people's wellbeing - something Anna feels lucky to witness every week as she teaches and runs choir rehearsals.
Anna is Musical Director of Digby Military Wives Choir and enjoys developing the group's vocal skills and confidence, as well as preparing them for performances and recording sessions. She also conducts Lincoln Diocesan Ladies Choir and Welbourn Primary School Choir and can't wait to begin a Sing Out Strong choir in rural Lincolnshire to give even more people access to the health benefits of singing.
