We have community choirs across the UK, open to ALL adults. We sing for wellbeing, because it makes us feel GREAT and is just so GOOD for us! We NEVER audition anyone and there's NO EXPERIENCE necessary! Plus, your first session is absolutely FREE!
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began we've also been organising online, global projects to keep everyone connected - wherever you are. This has gained us the nickname "SOS" as we've helped out a lot of people, virtually, right when they needed us most - 11 thousand of them, in fact, from 100 different countries!
You've never sung in a choir before;
You need a chair on stage or in rehearsals;
You're not very confident at singing but really enjoy it;
You think you're tone deaf (there's no such thing!);
You need a carer to accompany you;
You work shifts and can't commit every week;
You can't read music;
You don't want to perform;
You're on benefits or reduced income;
You have a mental or physical disability.
Whoever you are, and wherever you're from, you will always be welcome at Sing out Strong!
Our latest virtual choir project, "I've Been Waiting" launched in May 2021 and was featured on the BBC and ITV!
Our sixth virtual project was "Tundra" by Ola Gjeilo, Directed by Guest Conductor Lorilee Bajema from Los Angeles!
"Confitemini" is the second movement from the work Three Latin Psalms by Emma Rowland. Our global choir put this together as part of the Jubilate! project.
